Insuguration of Benodebehari Mukherjee Permenant Gallery: Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati

Inauguration of the Benodebehari Mukherjee permanent display gallery at Nandan Museum, Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan

MMF is delighted to announce that the permanent display gallery dedicated to artist and teacher Benode Behari Mukherjee was inaugurated on 8th August 2025, at Nandan Museum, Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati , Santiniketan.

The Honourable Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, inaugurated the new gallery. The Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Visva-Bharati, Dr. Probir Das Ghosh, also graced the occasion.

The space opened with the inaugural exhibitions of “Early works of Benodebehari Mukherjee” and “Dolls & Toys” curated by Prof. R. Siva Kumar. The exhibitions will remain on view until 31st December 2025.
