Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation, in collaboration with Welham Old Boys Society and Tulika Books, is pleased to invite you to a talk by Sneha Ragavan on Saturday, 22nd June, at Stainless Gallery, New Delhi.
Something’s Got to Give: Researching ‘Women’ Artists by Sneha Ragavan explores methods and questions that emerge while researching ‘women’ artists from the region. Through presenting case studies of research and archival work on artists such as Ira Chaudhuri, Nilima Sheikh, Leela Mukherjee, and others, it suggests that we need to constantly devise and innovate strategies of listening, reading, and framing in order to register fully the viability of their contributions in the discussion on art history.
Sneha Ragavan is Senior Researcher and Head of Asia Art Archive in India, New Delhi.
This talk is part of CONFLUENCE, a week-long exhibition and community engagement initiative titled organised by the Welham Old Boys Society, at The Stainless Gallery, New Delhi.
