Mission
Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation's mission is to preserve and promote the artistic legacy of Benode Behari Mukherjee, Leela Mukherjee and Mrinalini Mukherjee, and share the artistic and philosophical principles with which they lived. This will be fulfilled through the setting up of archives, platforms for resource sharing and by developing exhibitions and scholarship that trace their prolific contributions to the fields of art, education and contemporary thought. The Foundation is also committed to producing comprehensive publications on the three artists in the effort to make public the depth and diversity in their practices.
Furthermore, the Foundation will partake in charitable activities aimed at identifying, affirming and encouraging artistic achievements by contemporary practitioners and allied undertakings, including research, experimentation, and exhibition-making, which will help sustain the quality and diversity of artistic contributions to our society. The intent is towards nurturing new generations of creative minds which will be made possible through scholarships for students and support towards educators engaged in art education.
Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation will endeavor to grow as an institution that seeks excellence, supports unique artistic voices, and helps build a sustainable future for the arts in India.
